Dover Counselling Centre (DCC) was formed in 1988 taking over in title from the Herald Assistant unit, a service set up by Kent County Council following the Herald of Free Enterprise Disaster in 1987.
For nearly thirty years DCC has provided a professional counselling service in a safe, peaceful and calm environment. A service we know has a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of its service users.
the DDC ethos is that counselling should be available to anyone who wants or needs it. They promote and embrace diversity, equality and difference.
DCC is a charity and company limited by guarantee. It is an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such adheres to the BACP Ethical framework.
The Walker Construction Trust donated a £900 grant to provide 30 sessions of counselling.
